Kit, Short Circuit Loader
Stock#: Not Found
Description: Provides diagnostic and test capability for most all types of vehicles: 12 volt automobiles, motorcycles, trucks, boats, and airplanes, 24 volt heavy equipment, 42 volt hybrid electric automobiles, 6 volt riding lawn mowers, and many other 6 to 48 volt DC systems. EU/CE - DE, ES, FR, IT, GB, NL, PT. Features: Electronic Switches – The pushbuttons on the hand-held probe operate at low voltage and current levels, isolating the operator from high power circuitry.Overcurrent Protection – Current sensing circuitry shuts down the output drive if the current exceeds prescribed operating levels. This electronic circuitry is much faster than fuses or circuit breakers.Shutdown At Input Source – The current sensing circuitry is housed in the controller module. This provides for safe shutoff should the cable to the probe unit become shorted due to physical damage.Extended Operation Through 48 Volts DC – A wide-range power supply in the controller module allows operation on any supply voltage from 6V to 48V batteries. Constant Indicator Illumination Throughout Operating Range – Power to the indicators is provided by the power supply in the controller module.Audible signal – A tone will briefly sound when connection to either positive or ground potential is made.Overtemperature / Overcurrent Alarm – If the drive circuitry is shut down due to exceeding prescribed operating levels, both indicators will flash and a tone will pulse continuously.LEDs indicate tip connection; Green is ground, Red is hot. Illuminated either by contacting an electrical connection with a path back to the battery or by energizing the tip to either polarity. LEDs also provide an indication of over-current and over temperature operating conditions.
