Titanium nitride-coated carbide cutting inserts provide exceptional surface finish and cutter tip life. Patented Electronic Load Compensation adjusts power to feed motor to compensate for varying loads. This feature insures a uniform finish regardless of drum and rotor irregularities. Rotor carriage cross slide travels on dovetail ways with adjustable steel gibbs. Operator can compensate for cumulative wear and easily return lathe to factory specifications.
Fast—Retool between drum and rotor in 60 seconds. Quick changeover drastically reduces turnaround time between jobs. Remove up to .025" per pass, eliminating multiple pass operations.
Versatile—Infinitely adjustable rotor feed speeds between .001" and .010" per arbor revolution. Allows cut times as low as 1 1/2 minutes. Multiple drum feed speeds from .005" or .0125" per arbor revolution. Multiple arbor speeds (105 or 180 RPM) permit easy adjustment between passenger car and light truck machining.
Durable—Rotationally molded top provides extra "on lathe" storage. Arbor spindle supported by industry standard Timken roller bearings. 1 hp externally mounted industrial motor ensures smooth performance. Cast iron lathe housing.
Easy to Use—All lathe-operating controls are located within 12" of the operator’s hand. Single-lever disc/drum engagement with drum feed lock-out helps prevent operational errors. Adjustable one-piece rotor truer and/or drum boring bar allows quick access into odd-shaped import rotors and drums. A minimal 26" x 30" floor space is required.
